Ryan Hobbs to lead corporate development at Applied Systems
University Park, Illinois – October 20, 2011 — Insurance software company Applied Systems today announced that Ryan Hobbs has joined the company’s executive team as senior vice president of Corporate Development.
Hobbs is responsible for business strategy and merger and acquisition initiatives at Applied Systems, the major provider of insurance agency and broker management software in the United States and Canada. Since 2004, Hobbs had been vice president of Corporate Development at Intergraph Corporation, a global company that develops engineering and geospatial software.
Prior to Intergraph, Hobbs held financial management positions at Witness Systems, the customer relationship management software company. He began his career in investment banking focused on the technology sector, working at J.P. Morgan and Raymond James.
In his new role, Hobbs reports to Applied Systems Chief Executive Officer Reid French.

Hobbs earned his undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University and a master’s in Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
