Conference offers sessions on technology for large insurance agencies
Part of annual education event for Applied Systems Client Network
University Park, Ill. – Aug. 24, 2011 - Large insurance agencies and brokerages who use Applied Systems solutions have a dedicated education track at next month’s Technology, Education & Networking Conference (TENCon) hosted in Orlando by Applied Systems Client Network (ASCnet).
The seven classes in the Large User Group track address the challenges and interests of businesses that have 50 or more employees using TAM®, Epic™ and Vision®, automated management solutions from insurance technology company Applied Systems. This year marks the 26th annual TENCon, which runs Sept. 20-23 at the Gaylord Palms Hotel & Convention Center in Orlando.
"We developed this special track of sessions specifically for agencies with larger numbers of Applied Systems users in mind," said Karen Lancaster, Education Committee chair of ASCnet, the international user group for businesses that use Applied Systems technology. "Working in larger agencies has its own unique set of challenges and potential pitfalls, particularly with technology. With input from our most experienced members of large user groups, we designed these sessions with their needs in mind to help others avoid mistakes."
Sessions in the Large User Group track cover:
- concepts for Microsoft® Exchange servers
- network management and going to the cloud
- virtualization and why it should matter
- how to integrate third-party products with TAM, Epic and Vision
- IT hot topics
- remote solutions and technologies
- set-up of real-time and download in TAM and Vision
Topics were generated by the Large User Group of Applied Systems (LUGAS), the ASCnet chapter for large agencies and brokerages. Sessions will be led by LUGAS members as well as Applied Systems staff.
"In addition, we'll feature special tracks for users of Epic, our newest system, and for multi-location and other larger agencies," she adds. "These are among the fastest growing segments of our membership."
TENCon offers more than 150 class sessions organized into 11 tracks or themes for agencies and brokerages of all sizes and levels of business complexity. The sessions provide valuable training to insurance professionals no matter what role they play in their businesses. More information as well as demos will be available at the TENCon Exchange trade show, where the Applied Systems booth will include Artizan Internet Services, an Applied Systems company.
